The coronavirus crisis is having a major impact on Mmillions of HIV patients who are reliant on life-saving drugs. It’s estimated that nearly 40 Mmillion people across the world are living with HIV. Although there is no cure for the disease that causes AIDS, anti-retroviral medication helps control it. But the Covid-19 pandemic is interrupting drug supply lines for anti-retroviral drugs. The UN has warned that long term disruption could result in an additional half a million deaths.
