The rulings mean the public most probably will not see the President’s tax returns before the November presidential election. The Justices ruled that a New York prosecutor can subpoena the president’s tax returns. Manhattan’s district attorney Cyrus Vance Jr. called the decision, “a tremendous victory” for the US justice system.
