A funeral service has been held for the mayor of South Korea’s capital Seoul, amid controversy. More than half a million people signed an online petition opposing the publicly-funded ceremony, which was also streamed online. Park Won-soon was found dead on a mountainside Friday, an apparent suicide. That was days after his former secretary filed a criminal complaint against him that was reported to involve sexual harassment. As mayor of Seoul, Park was one of South Korea’s most powerful political figures.
