In the US city of San Diego, hundreds of firefighters have been battling a blaze on a U.S. Navy vessel that started on Sunday morning. The fire began in the lower cargo hold of the USS Bonhomme Richard which was docked at a naval base for routine maintenance – which meant a fire control system was turned off at the time the blaze broke out.
