Police in Germany have been combing a mountainous region in the country’s Black Forest for an armed fugitive named Yves Rausch, who has evaded capture for days. Authorities were alerted to a suspicious person living in someone else’s forest hut. The suspect disarmed the four police officers who went to question him and then escaped into the mountains with their weapons.
