Warning that coronavirus track and trace isn’t working well, as new outbreaks emerge – BBC News

A senior health official in Blackburn with Darwen, a borough in North West England with one of the highest infection rates for Covid-19, has warned that the test and trace system isn’t working well. It comes as Scottish authorities investigate whether workers at an NHS test and trace facility in North Lanarkshire have themselves become infected with coronavirus. Covid-19, the disease caused by the virus, only came to light at the end of last year, and the more scientists study it the more they’re learning about who is most at risk. Clive Myrie presents BBC News at Ten reporting from Health Editor Hugh Pym and Medical Correspondent Fergus Walsh.
