In Germany, former Nazi concentration camp guard ‘Bruno D.’ has been given a two-year suspended sentence for his role in the killing of thousands of people during World War Two. The 93-year-old was found guilty of being an accessory to the murder of more than 5,000 prisoners at the Stutthof camp near Gdansk, in what is now Poland. He’d insisted he wasn’t responsible for the killings that took place there. The trial is likely to be one of the last of those involved in the Holocaust.
