A woman was shot and seriously injured in Phoenix, Arizona after she pulled a gun and fired at police officers. The woman, named as 24-year-old Jovana Kelsey McCreary, was approached by officers after reports of a gun being fired. When McCreary denied having a gun, they searched her belongings, finding ammunition and illegal drugs. Footage from the officers’ bodycams shows McCreary pulling a gun as they try to place her under arrest. She fires shots at the officers before attempting to run away, gun still in hand. Two of the officers fire at McCreary, who is hit twice and falls to the ground screaming. Apparently, getting shot hurts. According to the Phoenix PD, she was taken to the hospital in critical condition but survived her injuries.
