Australia has recorded its deadliest day from the coronavirus to date, with 14 deaths and 700 new infections, mostly in the state of Victoria. FRANCE 24 correspondent Richelle Harrison Plesse says the country previously had a daily infection rate in the low double-digits. With the national death toll doubling to around 200 in the space of only weeks, Melbourne and other cities are facing the prospect of more stringent protective measures.
