The worst civil unrest Belarus has seen since the country emerged from the USSR nearly thirty years ago continued for the second consecutive night. Following another ‘landslide’ election win by President Lukashenko, thousands of angry protesters flooded the streets of Minsk and other cities around the country. One protester was confirmed killed overnight, becoming the first casualty of the crisis.
