A ship belonging to the Turkish Navy remains anchored in the port of Kas, just several kilometres away from the Greek island of Kastellorizo. Tensions between Turkey and Greece over the exploration of energy reserves in the eastern Mediterranean escalated after France sent jets to the area and the Greek government placed its military forces on high alert.
