Belarus: DW correspondent recounts prison experience | DW News

DW’s Belarus correspondent Alexander Burakov has been released from detention. Burakov reports for DW’s Russian-language service. He was arrested in his hometown Mogilyov a few days before the presidential election. Burakov received a 10-day prison sentence for petty hooliganism – charges he denies and which he is considering appealing. Burakov says his prosecution was purely political. It was his second time in prison this year.
