‘You can lead a horse to water’ the saying goes, but you can’t lead this reluctant horse out of a burning barn. Newly released bodycam video shows the dramatic police rescue of a horse as fire spread through its stable in Pennsylvania last week. The cops put their lives on the line, but the long-faced ingrate didn’t really want to leave, despite the blaze. Officer Matthew Reiss who was involved in the reluctant rescue said: ‘The animal weighs almost over 1000 pounds. It’s not gonna move if it doesn’t want to. So we tried to use a rope and get it out of the stall.’ Luckily the horse changed its mind just in time. Fifteen other horses were in the stables, and all but one got away.
