European leaders are dreading a second wave of coronavirus. France saw 4,771 new cases on Thursday, a jump not seen since May, though the government has ruled out delaying the return to school or renewed lockdowns. The same day, Germany saw 1,700 new cases and Italy 845, while earlier in the week Spain recorded more than 7000 in a single day. Across Europe, young people are now suspected of being the main vectors of the disease.
