Pompeo seeks to reassure Israel of military advantage

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo was in Israel on Monday, on the first leg of a five-day tour of the Middle East. The visit comes after the US brokered a deal to normalise relations between Israel and the United Arab Emirates. FRANCE 24 correspondent Irris Makler says Israel is seeking US reassurances it will still maintain military supremacy in the region, despite the prospect of the UAE now having access to advanced US weaponry.
