Rescue efforts were launched in Beirut, after a sniffer dog belonging to a Chilean search and rescue team detected something and ran towards a collapsed building, signalling a possible heartbeat under the rubble. The Chilean team used a scanning machine which detected a pulse and breathing. A member of the Lebanese Civil Defense says that 99% there is nothing, but because of this one remaining percent they are going to stay here.
