Conservation and conflict at DR Congo’s Virunga National Park

Visitor numbers to one of the continent’s wonders are down because of a surge in insecurity. DR Congo’s Virunga National Park, home to the last mountain gorillas, is a place of conservation but also increasingly of conflict. Plus, Cameroonian doctors are stretched thin. And Senegal’s first female pro surfer is inspiring other women to take to the waves whilst still determined to keep her own Olympic dreams afloat.
