O’Leary slams travel quarantine: ‘Greater danger of catching COVID-19 in Bolton than in Barcelona’

The chief executive of Ryanair has criticised the UK’s “non-existent test and tracing” and “bizarre” travel restrictions. Michael O’Leary said Germany and Italy have allowed quarantine-free travel with all other European countries because they have more effective testing systems in place. In response to the prime minister’s assertion that airport testing would only catch 7% of COVID-19 cases, Mr O’Leary said he “wouldn’t take any advice from him” given his “lamentable” record.
