Despite a rise in cases, daily COVID-19 deaths are the lowest they’ve been since the start of the pandemic. The number of cases is as high as it was at the height of the pandemic, but that’s because the #UK is testing more people. A lower proportion of people who test positive for #coronavirus appear to be dying, suggesting that the second peak may not be as bad as the first. At the height of the pandemic, coronavirus deaths were multiplying quickly – but so far, that’s not happening in Spain or France, who are ahead of the UK’s trajectory by about three weeks.
