Tourists catch colossal typhoon waves in Russia’s Far East

Take a quick break from the non-stop stream of news and politics and get a load of these colossal waves crashing against the rocks of the Gamov Cape during the Maysak typhoon. You’ve probably heard of the giant waves in Nazare, Portugal, or the famous Hawaiian Jaws (aka Peahi), but chances are you’ve never heard of the Gamov Peninsula in Russia’s Far East. The footage that sent shivers down our spines was filmed by a group of tourists who journeyed across Russia’s Far East and found themselves in the middle of a typhoon. But instead of seeking shelter, the tourists rushed head-first into the natural hazard and produced this spine-tingling video. Thankfully, nobody got hurt in the process
