New lockdown restrictions should come into force in London, Sadiq Khan has said, following a meeting with officials across the capital. The mayor of London said he had met with council leaders from all parties and public health experts to “agree a new London plan” that “includes some new restrictions”. Mr Khan said he hopes for an invite to a COBRA meeting to discuss the London specific plan soon to authorise the powers needed.
