Fighting polio and conspiracies – BBC News

In Pakistan, the first nationwide polio vaccination campaign since the start of the coronavirus pandemic is underway. Pakistan and neighbouring Afghanistan are the only two countries in the world yet to eliminate wild polio – after Nigeria was declared free from the disease last month. But efforts by health workers in Pakistan have been hampered not only by Covid-19, but also by conspiracy theories. Secunder Kermani reports from Peshawar.
