Scuffles broke out at a Portland rally by the American hard-line far-right group the Proud Boys. Members of the men-only organization, which promotes political violence, were filmed pushing one person to the ground and attacking journalists. They were also recorded saying a prayer for ‘Antifa’, chanting a contradictory ‘F*ck Antifa’ and screeching the Pledge of Allegiance as if under the impression that greater volume signifies greater patriotism. The crowds at both the Proud Boys rally and nearby counter-demonstrations were smaller than expected.
