Germany has recorded its highest daily infection total since the height of the pandemic in April. On Thursday, more than 4000 cases were recorded, a 40 percent increase in infections on the previous 24 hours. Now, experts fear the daily total is headed towards 10,000 per day, with socialising among young people largely attributable for the rise.
