In the US, states have until December 8th to deliver their election results, which is supposed to guarantee that all votes are counted. It’s called Safe Harbor Day, because any state result delivered after that can be challenged. The last time this happened was 20 years ago, in an election that was ultimately decided by the Supreme Court.
