Longing for change: Meet Thailand’s pro-democracy protesters

Students are at the heart of recent protests in #Thailand demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-o-cha. The former army chief led a military coup in 2014 and strengthened his position in controversial elections in 2019. But protesters are also addressing an age-old taboo: the role of the monarchy. They have called for restrictions on its authority, but not its abolition. FRANCE 24’s Kostia Prodromidès and Aurore Castel met some of the people leading the movement.
