COVID-19: Queen and Prince Philip set for low-key Xmas

A Palace spokesperson said: “Having considered all the appropriate advice, The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh have decided that this year they will spend Christmas quietly in Windsor.” The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh usually spend Xmas at the family’s Sandringham estate. This is the first time they have forgone a Christmas in Sandringham in 33 years.
