England has ended lockdown but moved directly to a three-tier system of restrictions, following a parliamentary vote on Tuesday. Around 55 million Britons now live under the strictest two tiers, with only one percent of the country on the least-restrictive first tier, which allows a maximum of six people for meetings whether indoors or out.
