Coronavirus vaccination begins in the UK with most vulnerable given priority – BBC News

The coronavirus vaccination programme begins on Tuesday 8th December in the UK, with some of the most vulnerable people across the UK given their first dose of the vaccine. Those over 80, care home staff and frontline NHS workers have been prioritised in the initial phase being run from hospitals. It’s the start of the biggest vaccination programme ever in the UK. Military personnel and planners are on hand to help expand the operation as more doses of vaccine become available. Huw Edwards presents BBC News at Ten reporting by health editor Hugh Pym.
