Boris Johnson to head to Brussels for last-ditch Brexit talks

Prime Minister Boris Johnson and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen are going to meet for dinner in Brussels on Wednesday in a bid to try and break the impasse on a EU-UK trade agreement. While the government agreed movement on the Withdrawal Agreement with new border arrangements confirmed on Tuesday for Belfast. It means some of the controversial clauses in the internal market bill clauses will be withdrawn, and the new documents will apply regardless of whether the two sides agree a separate future deal in 23 days. The government already had pledged £350m for businesses trading between NI and Great Britain.
