Hundreds of demonstrators gathered outside the Opera Bastille to voice their anger and despair. Many are bitter that while non-essential shops were allowed to reopen two and a half weeks ago, theatres, cinemas and museums are being forced to remain shut to prevent coronavirus clusters. The government says it will review the situation on the 7th of January, to decide whether the culture sector should be allowed to reopen.
