EU’s Foreign policy chief Josep #Borrell is visiting Moscow, where he is calling for the release of Russian opposition leader Alexei #Navalny. Borrell is also holding talks with #Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov on a range of issues including the crackdown of Navalny’s supporters, being the first EU envoy to Russia since 2017. Relations between the two took then a nose-dive when Russia annexed Crimea. In a joint press conference, both recognized divisions.
