NASA has released footage of the moment its Mars rover Perseverance touched down on the red planet. It was a complex operation captured by the rover’s own cameras. Perseverance reached Mars just a few days ago. It has already sent back the first sounds it has recorded. The rover will spend two Earth years exploring the region around the landing site.
