Covid has shuttered restaurants across the US. Despite the pandemic, Washington, DC’s Mozzeria opened its doors in September 2020. With a staff of 12 employees – all deaf or hard-of-hearing – the pizzeria aims not only to serve up great food, but also to improve employment opportunities for the deaf community
