The world marks International Womens’ Day today. A day when calls for greater gender equality gather momentum. In India, that continues to be an uphill task for women. Particularly in the so called informal sector, that comprises mostly labor intensive, unskilled work. Women working in this sector are prone to constant abuse and harassment at the hands of employers.
