The White House has rolled out the red carpet for Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who’s making a state visit to the US. Modi is due to hold talks with President Joe Biden on Thursday. Biden will be hoping that India will be a crucial partner against the growing threat of China. But on other issues, the US and India remain poles apart, as Yasmine El-Sabawi reports.
