The production of steel today still means the release of a lot of climate-damaging CO2. Globally, the steel industry is responsible for a 6 percent of Co2 emissions. The aim is to change this as quickly as possible. In the future, hydrogen could replace coal, which is currently used to melt steel. Christian Pricelius took a look at the world’s first steel production using hydrogen in Sweden.
