The Kremlin has confirmed President Putin met with Wagner Chief Yevgeny Prigozhin days after his mercenary group staged its rebellion. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Wagner commanders told Putin they would continue to fight alongside Russian forces. Military analyst Sean Bell has told Sky News that Putin “does not want to make a martyr of Prigozhin” and needs the”continued support and loyalty” of his mercenary force.
