The BBC’s director-general Tim Davie, acting chairwoman Dame Elan Closs Stephens and policy director Clare Sumner have been answering questions from the House of Lords’ Communications and Digital Committee. The director-general of the BBC stressed he is unable to give a timeframe for the investigation over recent claims against Huw Edwards, as it could take ‘weeks or months.’
