A woman who played the violin during her brain surgery has been reunited with the surgeon who removed her tumour. Dagmar Turner’s operation in London in January 2020 was planned so that her ability to play the violin would not be impaired as a result of the surgery. The 57-year-old has since returned to playing music in the Isle of Wight. She said she was “eternally grateful” to consultant neurosurgeon Prof Keyoumars Ashkan.
