Thousands of people have gathered in the Irish town of Bray to witness Sinead O’Connor’s funeral cortege. A round of applause greeted the procession as it paused outside the singer’s home, and people later broke into a rendition of her 1990 hit Nothing Compares 2 U. O’Connor died aged 56 after being found unresponsive in her London home a fortnight ago.
