Reporting from Colombia, FRANCE 24 journalist Margot Loizillon said that “around 100,000 men are expected to be deployed for the first round” of Ecuador’s election. “The ballot will not only designate the two candidates for the second round of the presidential election but will also renew the national assembly. In recent days, 44 candidates have asked for a security system to be put in place,” she added.
