The RMT union, which called today’s rail strikes, has written to the Rail Delivery Group saying the two sides need to navigate a way through the row. The General Secretary of the RMT, Mick Lynch, told Sky News they need to resolve issues on pay and redundancies. He said the actions of the Rail Delivery Group were a “wholesale attack on the staffing of the railway and accessibility of people using the railway.”
