In Senegal, farmers do most of their work during a three-month period – the rainy season. The country’s major agricultural focus is peanut production. But poor yields last year have hit rural communities hard. Our reporters visited the central region of Kaolack where farmers are now hedging their bets with watermelons, in a bid to avoid further disaster.
