Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says Israel is at war after Palestinian militant Islamist group Hamas launched a massive surprise attack. Hamas says it has fired more than 5,000 rockets into Israel from Gaza. Israel’s army says armed militants have also infiltrated Israeli territory.According to a senior official from Israel’s emergency services, more than 22 people have been killed, while hundreds more have been wounded. Israel’s military is striking targets in Gaza in response.
