Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned Israel was “embarking on a long and difficult war,” with the government set to cut off electricity, fuel, and goods to the Gaza Strip. The fighting is threatening to escalate further after the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah shelled Israeli positions in disputed territory along the Israeli border. Israel’s army responded with drone strikes on Hezbollah targets.
