Israel’s military says that militants from the Islamist Palestinian group Hamas killed at least 1,200 Israelis, mostly civilians, in the terror attacks. The new figure comes as the military discovers more bodies. Israel has intensified its retaliatory airstrikes on the Gaza Strip, where Palestinian officials say at least 900 people have been killed and thousands more wounded.
