Why carmakers are setting their sights on Africa | DW Business

Leaders from more than a dozen countries are attending the G20 Compact with Africa summit as the continent becomes increasingly attractive to economies seeking to diversify supply chains and develop green energy projects. Germany is no exception but when it comes to investment, it’s still playing catch-up, trailing far behind China, the United Arab Emirates and United States when it comes to foreign direct investment in Africa.
