Boris Johnson has admitted supporting former chief adviser Dominic Cummings when allegations emerged he had driven to Barnard Castle at Easter 2020. Mr Cummings drove 250 miles to Durham at the height of the lockdown in March, and then drove to Barnard Castle, which he claimed was to test his eyesight.
