Top White House adviser Jake Sullivan is set to travel to Israel Thursday amid increasing pressure on Israel over its war in Gaza. Facing a growing number of civilian casualties in Gaza, the US on Tuesday warned Israel against “indiscriminate bombing” across the Strip. Meanwhile other high-ranking US officials including Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin are also set to travel to Israel in the coming week, FRANCE 24’s correspondent Irris Makler said. “They are all coming with the same message: Israel has to take greater steps to protect civilian lives in Gaza and to provide humanitarian aid,” Maker said.
